Welcome.
I'm Jo, the photographer and artist behind WillowWulf.
This isn't a blog about having the latest camera, finding the perfect settings, or chasing the next viral photograph.
It's simply a place to share what I notice.
Living on Dartmoor has taught me that nature rarely performs on demand. Sometimes the most memorable moments aren't dramatic sunsets or spectacular wildlife encounters. They're the quiet moments - a shaft of light through the trees, a kestrel hovering against a dramatic sky, a bee returning home, or clouds gathering over the moor before the rain arrives.
These are the moments that often inspire my photography, my artwork, and the stories behind them.
Here you'll find a mixture of field notes, photographs, designs, behind-the-scenes glimpses into the creative process, and reflections from walks across Dartmoor and beyond. Some posts may explore the wildlife I encounter, others the changing seasons, and occasionally the journey from a photograph to a finished piece of art.
If one of my journal entries encourages you to pause for a moment, look a little closer, or notice something beautiful that you might otherwise have walked past, then it has done exactly what I hoped.
Thank you for stopping by.
I hope you'll come and see what I see.
Jo
